AT&T has delayed the launch of a 3G BlackBerry, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. Citing people close to the companies, the Journal said that Research In Motion has been working on a 3G BlackBerry for AT&T that was expected to be released in June, but has now been pushed back to August.
The delay was first reported on Fortune magazine’s Website.
RIM already has launched 3G handsets with Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel, which use different network technology than AT&T.
