Actix, which makes performance management software for wireless carriers, today announced version 1.3 of its Insight monitoring software.
The first version of the Insight debuted in January. The current updates include real-time network data sources for generating tasks and reports, data export to common systems such as Microsoft Excel, summary charts showing the type, severity and age of tasks, integrated help links and real-time charting to help technicians determine is problems still exist.
“While trying hard to maintain customer experience and retain increasingly demanding subscribers, mobile operators are finding their engineering resource is being stretched to the limit on basic tasks like finding, prioritizing and fixing network issues,” said Product Manager Neil Coleman, in a media statement.
Actix customers include AT&T, O2, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon, officials said. In total, Actix has 227 carriers in 106 countries reaching more than 1 billion subscribers, they said.
Also this week, Actix announced version 3.9 of Radioplan, which is used for designing cellular site locations. That version now includes per-cell path loss tuning and support for WiMAX and HSDPA networks.
Availability and pricing for the two products were not announced.
