SAN FRANCISCO—Mobile search provider Medio Systems announced a partnership with AdMob, which will deliver targeted mobile search ads to consumers using Medio’s analytics-driven mobile search service.
It’s all part of Medio’s plan to work with other ad networks, said CEO Brian Lent. Given its large scale, AdMob was an obvious partner, he said, but it is Medio’s intention to partner with multiple ad networks. Medio has its own ad network as well, but the goal is to deliver the best ad to the consumer at any given time, particularly given the small screen’s prime real estate.
The deal also allows AdMob’s advertisers to reach consumers with analytics-driven, targeted search ads.
With the alliance, Medio said, it consolidates its advertising business as a search advertising provider, delivering ads on-deck with its operator partners as well as off-deck with mobile publishers such as CBS, ABC and others.
