Agilent Technologies announced new testing products for LTE and W-CDMA/HSPA mobile networks yesterday.
The company began shipping LTE test gear in 2006, which now complies with the latest industry standard from March 2008, Agilent said.
The products include Agilent’s 89600 vector signal analysis software, for physical layer testing and troubleshooting of transceivers and components; N9080A measurement application, also for physical layer testing but specifically for uplink and downlink signals; E8895 wireless library, which serves signal processing models; and N7624B signal studio, which is software for creating LTE signals to verify equipment operation.
Agilent also announced a 5.7 Mbps HSUPA option for its W-CDMA/HSPA applications in the 8960 (E5515C) wireless communications test set, used in conducting RF measurements. With this update, engineers can test all available Category 6 HSUPA mobile devices and chipsets using the related E1963A application for radio-bearer and frequency division testing, the company said.
Another application, E6703E W-CDMA/HSPA Lab, adds packet-switched data connectivity for HSDPA Category 8/E-DCH Category 6 mobile devices. The related 8960 test set can be used for wireless device development, manufacturing and repair of all major 2G, 2.5G, 3G and 3.5G wireless technologies.
