All four major U.S. carriers have put their support behind Samsung’s new Galaxy S4, which was unveiled yesterday at an evening event in New York City. 

Immediately following the announcement, all four major U.S. carriers, as well as Leap Wireless and U.S. Cellular, released statements saying they would carry the devices. However, late April was as specific as things got and no information was immediately available on pricing. 

UK carrier EE said in a statement of its own that it will beging carrying the device on April 26. 

In the end, Samsung says the S4 will be available through 327 carriers in 155 countries globally. 

Strong support from carriers has been a key to Samsung’s success in the smartphone market. The Korean OEM has never opted for playing favorites, instead depending on simultaneous, multi-carrier releases for broad distribution of its mobile devices. 

The S4 enters a crowded marketplace, with recent releases from BlackBerry and Nokia and the possibility of iPhone upgrade on tap for this summer.
