Attention Wal-Mart shoppers, we have a special going on in personal electronics.
T-Mobile USA’s G1 Android phone, which launched last week, is now selling for a discounted price at about 550 locations of the discount retailer.
The G1 is selling for $148.88 with a 2-year agreement. That’s about $30 cheaper than T-Mobile’s announced price.
Neither Wal-Mart nor T-Mobile identified which 550 locations would host the new device, only that they would likely be in major metropolitan markets.
HTC, the OEM of the G1 device, is projecting sales of 600,000 devices by the end of the year.
