Apple has finally confirmed that it will host its next media event on Oct. 16. 

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Apple today sent out press invites that proclaim, “It’s been way too long.” 

While nothing has been confirmed, Apple is expected to unveil a refreshed line of iPads and possibly iMacs. 

Apple will also likely run down the next iteration of its desktop operating system, OS X Yosemite, and announced a set launch date for the new software. Other products that could be included in the presentation could include Apple TV, Apple Pay and more about Homekit.    

Shares of Apple were up slightly in afternooon trading to $99.48.
