Apple is hoping to improve its online sales through a system that will allow faster refunds on a returned items.
Citing a report from StellaService.com, Reuters reports that Apple has actually cut in half refund times for items purchased online. Customers who buy an iPhone or other Apple product online can now get a refund in a under a week, a big improvment from the 10 days it took in the past.
Apple is using FedEx’s 2Day service, through the inclusion of prepaid labels. That way items can be returned to the warehouse within three days.
The move comes as Apple tries to better compete in the world of online retail with giants like Amazon.
Trade publication Internet Retailer estimates that Apple’s online sales increased 24 percent to $18.3 billion in 2013.
