Apple yesterday rolled out a fix that it says should resolve battery drain on the iPhone 4S. The release marks the first update to iOS 5, Apple’s latest iteration of its mobile operating system.
Apple acknowledged the problem earlier this month, saying it was just a software-based problem and not another hardware-based Antennagate.
The iOS 5.0.1 update can be downloaded today. It also includes new multitasking gestures for iPad and a fix for bugs related to documents stored in iCloud.
As small as these fixes and additional features sound, the file still weighs in at a whopping 790MB.
