Jerry McDougal, who was serving as Apple’s VP of retail, has resigned. He’s being replaced by Jim Bean, the former Apple VP of finance.
AllThingsD confirmed with Apple McDougal’s departure. McDougal was one of a handful of candidates to replace the recently departed SVP of retail, John Browett.
Last week, AllThingsD suggested Steve Cano, Apple’s manager of retail stores and Bob Bridger, Apple VP for retail real estate and development, along with McDougal as possible internal replacements for Browett.
News of Browett’s exit came around the same time as Apple’s announcement iOS chief Scott Forstall planned on leaving the company as well.
