Apple today announced that the Apple Watch will be available beginning Friday, June 26 in seven additional countries, including Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan.
Apple Senior Vice Preisdent of Operations, Jeff Williams response to the Apple Watch has surpassed expectations.
“We’re also making great progress with the backlog of Apple Watch orders, and we thank our customers for their patience,” Williams said in a statement. “All orders placed through May, with the sole exception of Apple Watch 42 mm Space Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet, will ship to customers within two weeks. At that time, we’ll also begin selling some models in our Apple Retail Stores.”
Apple Watches were in short supply right out of the gate.
During an earnings call in April, CEO Tim Cook said that he was generally happy with how the Watch was ramping.
“It is a new product for us, and with any new product you end up taking some time to fully ramp,” Cook said. http://www.wirelessweek.com/news/2015/04/apple-watch-hits-snag-faulty-part
