Apple today announced that customers spent more than $10 billion at its App Store in 2013. The company revealed that more than $1 billion of those sales alone came during December.
Apple revealed in a press release that iOS developers have now made more than $15 billion on the App Store.
The uptick in December could indicate strong holiday sales for Apple. The company had a pair of new iPads and two new iPhones to sell during the quarter. Apple will announce those holiday quarter results on Jan. 27.
In its latest quarterly report, Apple saw iPhone sales grow nearly 27 percent annually.
On the same day last year, Apple announced nearly 20 billion App Store downloads for 2012 but did not disclose sales figures aside from highlighting the revenue of a few titles.
