Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. announced the company’s Artificial Intelligence Radar (A.I.R.) module leveraging Galgus Cognitive Hotspot Technology. Edgewater Wireless aera™ access point products will offer A.I.R. as a standard feature to deliver the world’s first intelligent, real-time device tracking within any network coverage zone.
A.I.R. uses an in-real-time artificial intelligence engine to learn from and adapt to any network environment or coverage zone with no setup required by the network operator. A.I.R. relies on patent-pending advanced algorithms to detect, range and track any WiFi-enabled device without the expense of additional monitoring hardware and no additional demands on network throughput or performance. A.I.R.’s intelligence engine automatically learns and adapts to the physical location or floor plan of any WiFi environment – with or without line of sight, and is accurate to within 6ft.
Combined with the advanced features of Edgewater Wireless multi-channel WiFi3™including real-time, integrated Spectral Surveillance Architecture™, Edgewater Wireless aera™ access point products with A.I.R. will give network operators accurate locationing of devices and their users physically moving through the network. A.I.R. has multiple applications including; network optimization, surveillance and security, asset tracking, customer locationing and more. As an added benefit, A.I.R. doesn’t require any device connection or apps to locate smart phones, laptops, tablets and other WiFi-capable devices within the network coverage zone.
“The capabilities of our multi-channel WiFi3™ with Artificial Intelligence Radar creates a never-before-seen wireless positioning system with extremely high resolution capable of tracking anyone or anything with a WiFi capability through a coverage zones.” said Eric Smith, VP Product with Edgewater Wireless “With A.I.R.’s adaptive artificial intelligence capabilities, WiFi3™powered AERA access points learn and adapt to the coverage zone. We’re giving network operators the real time data they need to optimize their WiFi network as devices and users as they flow through coverage areas.”
“Galgus CHT integrated into aera™ access points with WiFi3™ creates new opportunities to better utilize WiFi deployments and the data they generate for businesses and operators across multiple industries,” said Jose Gonzalez, CEO of Galgus. “Thanks to the advanced capabilities of Edgewater Wireless multi-channel WiFi3 the A.I.R. solution will be unbeatable in both precision and ease of deployment and operation.”
A.I.R. brings real-time intelligence to locate any WiFi-enabled device passing through the coverage zone. Network operators can take advantage of A.I.R. to better understand and analyze location traffic patterns, enhance user experiences and optimize networks for sticky clients, enhance physical security, physical asset tracking and much more.
Edgewater’s WiFi3™ powered technology is the best Wi-Fi solution for carriers, service providers and systems integrators to address the growing problems of interference, capacity and critical mass of users which is stretching WiFi and IOT networks to their breaking point. Edgewater’s patented technology solves the high-density problem while also significantly reducing the equipment investment and operating costs for new network deployments.
