AT&T said it plans to launch mobile TV services based on Qualcomm’s MedioFlo technology in May. The carrier said it will include full-length content and sporting events from top networks, including CBS Mobile, Comedy Central, ESPN Mobile TV, FOX Mobile, MTV, NBC 2GO and Nickelodeon.
Initially, AT&T said the service will launch on two new handsets: the LG’s Vu and Samsung’s Access. The carrier also said it plans to offer two exclusive channels, but did not give any details.
The carrier had previously said it would launch mobile TV services by the end of last year.
AT&T said it would release pricing details when the service launches.
