AT&T Inc. is offering its customers a new USB wireless networking card from Sierra Wireless, the companies said today.
Dubbed the USBConnect Mercury, the card gives HSPA connections for computers running Microsoft Windows (2000, XP, Vista) and the Apple MacOS (versions 10.4.11 and newer).
The dongle is free if you buy a 2-year contract of at least $60 per month. It includes a microSD slot so it can double has a portable disk.
AT&T’s 3G coverage map is scheduled to reach 350 U.S. metropolitan areas by the end of this year, the carrier added.
