AT&T Rolls Out BOGO Smartphone Holiday Offer

By Diana Goovaerts | December 14, 2015

Seeking to capitalize on the holiday rush, AT&T is offering customers a free Samsung Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6s when they sign up for the carrier’s Next device installment plan with a qualifying device and plan.

But there are conditions.

To take advantage of the promotion, both devices must be purchased on AT&T’s Next device installment plan. According to AT&T, the first device may either be a new line or an upgrade of an existing account. The second, free phone, however, must be a new line and must be purchased on Next’s 24-month installment agreement.

Both phones must also be added to a qualifying service plan, with the minimum acceptable option being AT&T’s $70 per month Mobile Share Value plan.

The second device will end up being free after the customer receives up to $650 in bill credits over the course of 30 months, AT&T said. Bill credits should start within three billing cycles, but customers may pay up to $65 before the credits start.

Sales tax on the devices will be due at the time of purchase, the carrier said.

The offer is available to both new and existing customers, and will be available through the end of December.
