Telecommunications Industry Association CEO Scott Belcher discusses the recent success of the AWS-3 spectrum auction.
Belcher comments, “Today we celebrate the remarkable success of the FCC’s current spectrum auction…we now call upon the FCC to conduct a voluntary incentive auction for broadcast spectrum in 2016. To be successful, the FCC must encourage maximum participation from broadcasters in the 10 markets where demand is greatest. The primary goal here is to increase the economic activity and life-changing services enabled by this spectrum. This value goes far beyond the auction revenues.”
