After worldwide beta testing, Bitstream has upgraded its handset Web browser BOLT with several new features, including copy and paste capabilities, support for folders in favorites, 3XL magnification mode, improved scrolling speed and control and a new landscape viewing feature.
BOLT is the only mobile browser that lets people enjoy streaming videos on average mobile phones from such popular video services as YouTube, vids.myspace.com, video.yahoo.com, blip.tv, dailymotion.com, metacafe.com and more. Of the total bandwidth used by all BOLT users surfing the Internet, nearly a third was consumed by streaming video.
The Internet browser is built with proprietary compression, navigation and rendering technologies, enabling users to zoom in on Web pages to display high-resolution text and images. It is also optimized to conserve battery life and data transmissions, and offers high standards compliance for desktop-style web browsing.
BOLT is now available for free to anyone as part of its public beta test at boltbrowser.com.
