The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is coming, starting with T-Mobile in Germany today. Early reviewers said it’s better than Curve 8300 series smartphones in every way, but lacks the 3G antenna and faster hardware found in the BlackBerry Bold.
The 8900, previously known by its code name Javelin, is slightly thinner and weighs slightly less than the 9300. It also has Wi-Fi, a 3.2 megapixel camera (vs. 2.0 in the 8300) and a keyboard that Research In Motion says is easier to use.
Customers in Germany are getting 6 months of free push email service.
When the phone will reach other nations – and on which carriers – is not yet clear.
