T-Mobile said its previously announced BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, which is the first BlackBerry device in a clamshell design, is now shipping.

The quad-band phone includes an external display and Wi-Fi support. It is available now in black and will soon be in red as well, officials said.

The phone is listed for $149.99 after rebates at T-Mobile.com. It was previously code-named KickStart.
