BlackBerry 10 Smartphones To Be Deployed Across Canadian Tire’s Family of Companies

BlackBerry can count Canadian Tire Corporation as the latest enterprise customer to purchase its new Z10 and Q10 BlackBerry 10 smartphones. 

According to a Bloomberg, Canadian Tire has signed an order for 3000 BlackBerry 10 smartphones that will be distributed to its employees. 

“With 90 years of history serving Canadians in communities from coast-to-coast, it’s fitting that we’re partnering with another great Canadian company to support our business,” said Eugene Roman, Chief Technology Officer, Canadian Tire Corporation, in  a statement. 

Canadian Tire’s first mobile app for BlackBerry launched three years ago. The free application enables customers to browse products on CanadianTire.ca, create shopping lists, access Canadian Tire’s digital flyers, locate store details and hours as well as check product availability by store.

BlackBerry said it shipped 6 million smartphones in the fourth quarter, one million of them being BlackBerry 10 devices.
