Cima NanoTech Launches Ultra Low Resistance SANTE EMI Shielding Film for Transparent, Lightweight and Thinner EMI Shielding

By Staff Author | August 12, 2013

ST. PAUL, MINN., Aug 6, 2013 –Cima NanoTech, a smart materials company and developer of the ‘SANTE(R) Self-Assembling Nanoparticle Technology’, will unveil its new lightweight, thin and transparent EMI shielding film, ‘SANTE(R) FS100-LR-1N’, at IEEE EMC 2013 Symposium from August 6-8, 2013.

SANTE FS100-LR-1N is a transparent EMI shielding solution that allows manufacturers more freedom in product design without compromising on optics and shielding performance. Beyond meeting the stipulations of today’s EMI shielding requirements, manufacturers also greatly benefit from the following unique properties of the new SANTE FS100-LR-1N EMI Shielding Films:

  • Low resistance – SANTE FS100-LR-1N has ultra low surface resistance.

  • High transparency and color neutrality – SANTE FS100-LR-1N has total transmittance of up to 75% while preserving the original color tone of the surface on which the films are applied.

  • Non-moire – The proprietary SANTE Nanoparticle Dispersion forms a random network pattern on the surface of the SANTE FS100-LR-1N film, thus overcoming moire issues. As such, unlike standard metal mesh technology, the need to orientate a film to a non-moire position on a display screen is eliminated, providing manufacturers with the benefit of low material wastage and ease of implementation.

SANTE FS100-LR-1N is designed to be cost-effectively integrated into electronic applications, including defense-related instruments, industrial displays and ruggedized computers.
