Conical RF inductors filter frequencies to 110 GHz

By Redding Traiger | August 20, 2025

Passive Plus (PPI) has announced a new line of Broadband Conical Inductors for bias T’s, broadband chip manufacturing, communication platforms, high frequency, microwave circuitry, RF test set-ups, test & measurement, test gear, test instrumentation, and transmission amplifiers. These special RF chokes are used to filter RF and Microwave frequency interference from electronic circuits in order to reduce EMI by attenuating high-frequency noise with an upper frequency limit up to 110 GHz (depending on substrate). S-Parameters are available on our website.

The Flying Lead (through-hole) Broadband Conical Inductors have the highest level of current handling (10 Amps depending on size) with one of the lowest insertion losses in the industry. These BB Conical Inductors were developed to address the ever-increasing performance demand for reliable conical inductors and ensure a predictable frequency response and repeatable RF performance.

PPI SMD (surface mount) Broadband Conical Inductors have proprietary mechanical mounting system that deliver consistent part-to-part performance. The PPI-100SM series offers right or left mounting configuration to help address EMI concerns.
