Cradlepoint and Innominds Join Forces on Gigabit LTE and 5G Wireless Solutions for Smart Cities

By Tierney King | February 27, 2019

Cradlepoint, a company who handles cloud-delivered LTE and 5G wireless network edge solutions, announced that it is collaborating with Innominds on the development of integrated connectivity, device, application, and analytics platforms for Smart Cities with Qualcomm Technologies-enabled solutions.

The team will integrate its initiatives in Smart Cities with a combination of Software-Defined Wide-Area Networking (SD-WAN), Gigabit LTE and 5G technologies, real-time performance monitoring tools, big data analytics, and visualization solutions. They hope this collaboration of tools will improve operating efficiencies.

Today, Cradlepoint helps over 5,500 public sector customers leverage LTE connectivity, with many delivering or planning Smart Cities initiatives.

“We are very pleased that Cradlepoint has chosen Qualcomm Technologies to enable their ‘Pathway to 5G’ strategy using our cutting-edge connectivity technologies,” says Sanjeet Pandit, Senior Director, Business Development at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “Our continued leadership in research and engineering allows for a future of increased innovation across multiple sectors as 5G connectivity becomes ubiquitous and supports the creation of innovative new devices that can address the requirements and opportunities offered by Gigabit LTE and future 5G networks.”

Innominds hopes the collaboration of tools and technology will produce a rise in the development of wireless Smart Cities solutions.

“Working with Cradlepoint enables Innominds to bring together leading-edge devices, application and analytics need to power the Smart Cities of the future,” says Krishna Guda, president and chief strategy officer at Innominds. “Deepening our collaboration will ensure we stay at the forefront of developing wireless Smart Cities solutions that are simpler, smarter and more cost-effective.”
