AT&T prepaid brand Cricket Wireless is once again expanding its retail presence, this time by hopping into Sam’s Club stores.
Cricket will now have a home in more than 400 Sam’s Club locations, the carrier said.
“Offering Cricket at Sam’s Club locations across the country makes perfect sense,” Cricket Vice President of Sales Dave Fine said. “Our brands share a common goal of providing customers simple solutions to help them find incredible value on quality products and services.”
The agreement brings Cricket’s retail footprint to more than 13,500 locations across the country and is just the latest in the brand’s aggressive retail expansion over the past several months.
In June, Cricket added 600 GameStop stores to its roster, just after it added more than 1,000 Best Buy stores and 2,000 Aaron’s locations to its distribution network in April. Back in October, Cricket also added nearly 1,600 Target stores to its retail footprint.
Cricket has helped buoy AT&T amid flagging postpaid figures. In the first quarter 2016, Cricket and fellow AT&T prepaid brand GoPhone pulled in 500,000 prepaid subscribers, while AT&T lost 363,000 postpaid phone subscribers.
