This may be the final year of Super Mobility before the show merges with GSMA to become Mobile World Congress Americas, but CTIA is pulling out all the stops to make the 2016 show a great one.
The conference has a full lineup of top-tier keynote speakers, including AT&T CEO Glenn Lurie, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, Chernin Group CEO Perter Chernin and GSMA Director General Mats Granryd on Day 1; Verizon EVP and President of operations John Stratton, Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri, Qualcomm CTO Matt Grob and AXS TV chairman and CEO Mark Cuban on Day Two; and Time Inc. SVP of Creative and Content Chris Hercik and musical guest John Legend on Day 3. CTIA’s own president and CEO Meredith Attwell Baker will also grace the keynote stage.
The show floor this year will be divided into five areas: the Retail Zone, the Connected Life and Technology Zone, the Tower and Small Cell Zone, the Innovation Zone and the Enterprise and Industrial Zone. There will also be seven interactive Smart Experience spaces in the mix, including the 5G Launchpad, the AR/VR Arcade, the Connected Car Lot, the Drone Airfield, the Smart Home, the Smart City Park and the Smart Retail Store.
CTIA’s session experiences this year have been broken into four mix and match tracks, including “Everything Intelligent: taking the Networks to 5G,” “Everything Connected: Smart City + Smart Consumer,” “Everything Enterprise: 5G Use Cases,” and “Everything Policy: How Washington Shapes Mobile.” The latter of the four includes a “Washington Talks Wireless” session featuring four of the FCC’s Commissioners.
In addition to hosting its own sessions on everything from 5G and network infrastructure to cybersecurity and the Internet of Things, Super Mobility will also serve as the anchor point for a number of partner events. Co-located partners include the Rural Wireless Summit, the Tower and Small Cell Summit, InterDrone and the Wireless Repair Expo.
Wireless Week will be in the thick of the action next week, reporting to you live from the show floor both digitally (as per usual) and through our CTIA official show dailies. While some stories will be posted across mediums, attendees should be sure to pick up a copy of the daily each day for exclusive interviews with executives from Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Nokia, and more.
Will we see you there?
