Wireless industry group CTIA announced a pair of personnel moves this week after extending the contract of president and CEO Meredith Attwell Baker last month.
The group promoted regulatory affairs official Scott Bergmann and announced the appointment of Synchronoss Technologies CEO Glenn Lurie to its board of directors.
Bergmann’s title shifted from vice president for regulatory affairs to senior vice president of regulatory affairs. He will continue to lead CTIA’s regulatory team and support its advocacy before federal and state lawmakers.
Bergmann served in various senior positions at the FCC before joining CTIA in 2009.
“He is an invaluable member of our team and has proven himself again and again as a trusted counselor and a talented manager with a gift for collaborative, industry-wide problem solving,” Baker said in a statement.
Lurie previously served on the CTIA board in his role as CEO of AT&T’s mobility and consumer operations. He was appointed to lead Synchronoss in November.
“I’m thrilled to be rejoining the CTIA board at this critical time for the wireless industry,” Lurie said.
