Developers can now slash the amount of time it takes to develop and get Palm applications to market. DeviceAnywhere unveiled its public Palm Virtual Developer Lab, a remote testing service designed to reduce the time and resources required to develop, test, monitor and deploy applications and content for Palm smartphones.
The on-line service is available to all developers who register for DeviceAnywhere’s Palm package. The service provides support for Palm’s in-market devices, including the Treo 755p and the new Palm Centro smartphone.
Through DeviceAnywhere, developers can collaborate at any time and from anywhere. The online service provides access to more than 1,000 handsets on live worldwide mobile networks, remotely over the Internet, meeting all development, porting, testing and monitoring needs.
DeviceAnywhere cuts down inefficiencies of manual testing and the high cost of acquiring handsets and service plans. Beyond remote access, developers also can perform automated testing through DeviceAnywhere Pro and perform 24×7 Quality of Service (QoS) monitoring through DeviceAnywhere Monitoring.
