Telephone and Data Systems (TDS) announced Saturday that Kenneth Meyers has been selected to take Mary Dillon’s position as CEO of regional carrier, and TDS subsidiary, U.S. Cellular.
Meyers has been executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of TDS. He is also director of U.S. Cellular and TDS.
According to a press release, Dillon resigned as president and CEO, and as a director, of U.S. Cellular, effective June 21, to take a position at ULTA Beauty in July. Dillon joined U.S. Cellular as president and CEO in June 2010, and was previously global chief marketing officer and executive vice president for McDonald’s Corporation.
ULTA Beauty is a retailer of salon products and salon services in the United States. Founded in 1990 and headquartered near Chicago, ULTA Beauty employs more than 16,000 associates.
Meyers is no stranger to U.S. Cellular. He’s been with TDS and U.S. Cellular for almost three decades. He joined U.S. Cellular in 1987 and held several senior management positions, including executive vice president and CFO.
Meyers became executive vice president and CFO of TDS in 2007.
