Empower RF Systems: ‘Size Matters’

Empower is once again conducting a “live” demonstration of an ultra broadband (20 to 1000 MHz), high power (1 kW CW) amplifier platform which is housed in an industry leading 5U chassis. The fact that we are controlling this amplifier through a wireless connection and highlighting diagnostics and remote control features through an iPad is equally impressive and, we believe, also industry leading. Our live demonstrations throughout 2013 have been well received and, for us, a serious validation of the next generation amplifier platforms we have designed.  Leveraging this hardware and software architecture, we have built a standard product portfolio of 1 kW in 5U amplifiers (20 to 500 MHz, 500 to 1000 MHz, 20 to 1000 MHz) and added to the family with 500W in a 3U chassis. Additional work with GaN devices has yielded 1 to 3 GHz “size matters” and two SATCOM configurations in L-Band and S-Band that are truly remarkable.

In addition to our “size matters” live demo at AOC next week (Oct 28 – 30), we are driving a theme of “consider the possibilities.” To that end, two recent media ads prepared for AOC are attached  –  you will note the theme and, I hope, recognize the unique combination of bandwidth, power output, size, and remote interface capabilities made possible with our next generation platforms.
