It’s almost time to put that bird in the oven and settle in front of the big screen to watch some football. But which fans are the most engaged with the game via their mobiles?
According to recent analytics generated by Yahoo! through its Sportacular app, which features game check-ins, scores, news and social predictions, users of the app to date have generated over 7.8 million game predictions, over 450,000 game check-ins and over 150,000 comments.
But the data goes deeper than that, detailing those states that are most engaged on Sundays. According the company’s numbers, Nevadans use their mobiles the most to check scores, check in and predict games. The gambling state is followed by Lousiana, Hawaii, Arkansas and Texas, in that order.
Among other interesting tidbits from Yahoo’s aggregated numbers include the fact that more fans checked in to the Sept. 26 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins than any other game this season.
The most popular NCAA game was the Nov. 5 showdown between Alabama and LSU, which received more check-ins than any college game this season.
Yahoo! Sportacular is available for free in the Android Market and Apple App Store.
