The FCC chairman and his commissioners have a long to-do list, which it hopes to complete before the end of the year, according to the Wall Street Journal. Chairman Kevin Martin said the commission is working on its review of Verizon’s acquisition of Alltel and Sprint’s purchase of Clearwire.
The commission also plans to review interconnection rates, finalize rules for two spectrum auctions and determine whether to allow high-tech companies to use vacant, unlicensed TV spectrum for next-generation wireless devices
