AT&T announced the launch of AT&T Alerts, a free opt-in, location-based text messaging alerts service that allows AT&T wireless customers nationwide to save money with relevant offers from nearby retailers on their mobile phones. AT&T Alerts uses geo-location technology and consumer preferences to deliver offers and rewards, without having to download an application.

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NASDAQ: TXN) and Nimbix, a company specializing in heterogeneous high performance computing cloud processing, announced their collaboration on Nimbix’s Accelerated Compute Cloud (NACC). By selecting TI’s high-performance KeyStone multicore DSPs, Nimbix is significantly reducing power and accelerating workflows for video processing and imaging applications, making high performance computing in the cloud easier.

HP Discover Frankfurt, HP Enterprise Services announced new technology solutions and services to help communication services providers (CSPs) expand their traditional business models and offer subscribers premium applications.HP Telco Big Data and Analytics solutions will enable communication service providers (CSPs) to transform data from a variety of sources, including subscribers’ experience and preferences, into actionable intelligence.HP Cloud Solutions for communication service providers will enable CSPs to build and operate public cloud environments for enterprise, small and midsized business (SMB) customers.

D-Link today announced the push-button Wireless Range Extender (DAP-1320), designed to extend an existing wireless network to the farthest corners of a home, small office or even the backyard. The compact and ultra-portable Wireless Range Extender is ideal for pushing wireless signals to those hard-to-reach areas – eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones and broadening the range of a wireless network for seamless everyday Internet activities such as emailing, chatting, music, video streaming, and VoIP calling.
