A new report from Juniper Research forecasts that mobile data roaming revenues will grow by 21 percent per year between 2012 and 2017, reaching over $35 billion in 2017, driven by an increasing number of active data roamers using data services while abroad.

Amazon.com today launched free Unity plugins for their in-app purchases and Amazon GameCircle APIs. Amazon says that its In-App Purchasing and GameCircle products improve monetization and increase engagement by allowing developers to add Achievements, Leaderboards, and Whispersync for Games to their games on Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD.

Beginning 12:01 a.m. Thanksgiving morning (November 22) through Cyber Monday (November 26), Wirefly will have over 50 cell phones and smartphones on sale for under $1 (with a two-year agreement). Wirefly promises its Black Friday sale will include the latest, most in-demand phones on the market from top U.S. carriers, including popular Android, Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry smartphones.

Wahoo Fitness today unveiled the Balance Smartphone Scale. Using a Bluetooth connection, the Wahoo Balance tracks weight and BMI over time, sending weigh-ins instantly to the iPhone or iPad App. Pre-oders for the device begin today. The Wahoo Balance sells for $99, with shipments starting the first week in December.
