Lenovo debuted its first multimode Yoga Tablet. Withhold, tilt and stand modes, the tablet adapts to the way people use it. Additionally the Yoga Tablet has up to 18 hours of battery life. Along with the new product introduction, Lenovo also named spokesman Ashton Kutcher the company’s newest product engineer.
Ingram Micro Inc., a wholesale technology distributor, and BlackBerry, jointly announced a new agreement whereby Ingram Micro Mobility will become a leading provider of the BlackBerry portfolio of smartphones throughout Latin America.
Ixia announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Net Optics, Inc., a provider of total application and network visibility solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Ixia will pay $190 million in cash, in a cash-free/debt-free transaction and subject to certain adjustments based on Net Optics’ net working capital at closing. The transaction is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of 2013.
