Sprint announced today that it has lit up LTE in 11 new cities/counties, including Harrisburg, Pa., South Bend/Mishawaka, Ind., Muncie, Ind., Peabody, Mass., and Salina, Kan. Sprint introduced its LTE network in July 2012 and now offers service in 43 markets.

A new policy report focused on the electric grid and economy of energy, “Getting Smarter About the Smart Grid”, was published today by the National Institute for Science, Law & Public Policy (NISLAPP) in Washington, D.C. The report states that billions of dollars in federal subsidies for “smart” utility meters have been misspent on meter technology that will not lead to energy sustainability or contribute to the possibility of a more efficient and responsive electricity grid.

Canon U.S.A. today announced its Canon Mobile Printing App for iPhone and iPad. Canon Mobile Printing enables users to send print jobs directly from their iPhone and iPad to a compatible Canon output device.

Assurance Wireless today annoucned that it has introduced its services in New Mexico. Assurance Wireless is a Lifeline Assistance program supported by the federal Universal Service Fund. Assurance Wireless gives eligible customers the ability to provide a contact number and return calls to a prospective employer, which can help improve the chances of securing employment.
