FirstNews Briefs: AT&T, Lenovo, SignalShare, Fastback Networks

AT&T today launched AT&T UC Federation. The service allows suppliers, partners and customers to communicate in real time across different networks. AT&T UC Federation can enable internal and external teams to collaborate across supported UC platforms. Sonus has deployed and trialed AT&T UC Federation. The company is in the process of a full service rollout. 

Lenovo today announced that Lenovo’s Flex System can now be used to power EMC VSPEX reference architectures for private cloud and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).

SignalShare, a provider of mobile engagement solutions for mass audiences, today announced the acquisition of Mountain View-based Incubite Inc., developer of the cross-platform messaging app, Chorus.im. The acquisition provides SignalShare with the HTML-based messaging IP to advance its Live-Fi nGage product suite. With the acquisition, SignalShare plans to open a Silicon Valley office to house its growing West Coast workforce.

Fastback Networks today announced $15 million in Series C financing led by Harmony Partners along with existing investors Foundation Capital, Granite Ventures, Juniper Networks, and Matrix Partners. The investment will fund scaling of the company in response to demand for the Fastback Intelligent Backhaul Radio solution for LTE backhaul.
