Mavenir Systems, a provider of software-based networking solutions, announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Stoke, Inc., subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed. Stoke provides mobile gateway solutions to the broadband network industry and has deployed LTE Security Gateways.

BURG announced the official launch of the BURG 12 Smartwatch, at Walmart. Priced at $199, the BURG 12 smartwatch functions as a standalone phone, with the ability to make and receive calls and texts without connecting to a smartphone. It offers all the basic functions like music, video, camera, calendar, contact lists, and voice recording, all controled with a 1.5-inch 240 x 240 resolution touchscreen.  In addition, the BURG 12 also pairs with all iPhones, Android smartphones and headsets through Bluetooth 3.0.

Radisys Corporation announced that Mahindra Comviva has selected Radisys’ T-40 Series Ultra Platform to deliver its Mobile Data Platform (MDP), consisting of Policy Control Enforcement Function (PCEF), Policy Charging & Rules Function (PCRF) and Mobile Internet Gateway (MIG), for its customer, a Tier 1 Middle Eastern service provider.
