Nokia Networks extends its long-term relationship with T-Mobile under a new contract to help the operator continue the expansion of its nationwide 4G LTE network, which began in 2012 with its network transformation project. Nokia Networks will provide LTE-Advanced equipment and services that will cover new spectrum bands, helping to improve coverage and capacity for in-building, highway and rural areas. The agreement also helps to expand the availability of T-Mobile’s high-quality, nationwide Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service.
Anritsu Company today introduced the MW82119B PIM Master, which combines a 40W, battery-operated PIM analyzer with a 2 MHz to 3 GHz cable and antenna analyzer, eliminating the need to carry multiple instruments to measure the RF performance of a cell site. The MW82119B provides tower and maintenance contractors, network installers, and wireless service providers with the first handheld field passive intermodulation (PIM) analyzer with line sweep capability so they can fully certify cell site cable and antenna systems.
Vodafone today announced a more than threefold increase in the number of points of presence (PoPs) available to enterprise customers across the USA, Canada and South America, enabling global businesses to leverage global internet protocol virtual private network (IP-VPN) services from a single supplier. The global MPLS-enabled network will ultimately connect 212 PoPs across Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East and the Americas. This expansion will complement Vodafone-operated fixed and mobile networks in 17 countries.
Ruckus Wireless, Inc. today announced the expansion of its line of Smart 802.11ac ZoneFlex access points (APs) with the launch of four new models. The expanded lineup includes the new Ruckus ZoneFlex R500 (2×2:2) and ZoneFlex R600 (3×3:3) indoor dual-band (2.4/5 GHz) mid-range models, and two new Ruckus ZoneFlex T300 Series outdoor 802.11ac APs, the ZoneFlex T300e omnidirectional model, which includes support for optional external 5 GHz antennas, and the ZoneFlex T301s 120 degree sectorized beam model with a sector adaptive antenna.
