Qualcomm Incorporated today announced that its subsidiary, Qualcomm Technologies has completed its acquisition of EmpoweredU, developer of a mobile-centric cloud-based learning environment that is both device and operating system agnostic. The company said that integration of EmpoweredU, with other education initiatives within Qualcomm, will allow Qualcomm Technologies to accelerate mobile innovation and 24/7 learning into education – providing institutions, students and parents access to best-in-class education tools.

The new team will focus on strategies such as programmatic buying, advanced targeting and post campaign insights, as well as compatibility with new technologies such as location-based outreach, native advertising and beacons.
Australia’s National Broadband Network Company (NBN Co) will continue its fixed wireless managed service partnership with Ericsson and has expanded the partnership to include operation of the ground component of the Long Term Satellite Solution (LTSS) and customer service activation. With the introduction of the LTSS, Ericsson will be the primary service partner for both NBN Co’s fixed wireless and satellite services, which are planned to cover over 1 million households.
