By Wireless Week staff | January 13, 2015

4G chipmaker Sequans Communications S.A. and Ecrio Inc., provider of 4G LTE real time communications client solutions for the mobile industry, have developed a joint solution integrating Ecrio’s operator-certified FlexIMS Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and SMS over IMS client software with Sequans’ LTE chipset platforms.

Radisys has announced a Media Resource Function (MRF) supply agreement with Nokia Networks. Nokia Networks has selected Radisys’ MRF product family as the media processing foundation for its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) solution portfolio for standards-based IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) deployments.Nokia Networks will utilize Radisys’ Virtualized MRF and high-capacity MPX-12000 Broadband MRF, built on Radisys’ T-Series Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) platform.

Elavon, a global payment solutions provider to more than 1.3 million business customers and wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, has joined the Verizon Partner Program (VPP), which tailors regional and national opportunities for systems integrators, value added resellers, agents and solutions providers. By joining up with Verizon, the global communications company, and talech, a provider of mobile point of sale solutions, Elavon is introducing a turnkey mobile POS system for small and medium businesses in the United States.

Interop Technologies today introduced CorePlusX (CPX), an IMS core and IP services solution for mobile operators. This solution, residing in the Interop cloud, features a managed IMS core providing the infrastructure and functionality needed to launch IP services including Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi), Voice over LTE (VoLTE), VoLTE Roaming (VoLTE-R) and Rich Communication Services (RCS).

Broadpeak, a provider of content delivery network (CDN) technologies and live and video-on-demand (VOD) servers for cable, IPTV, OTT, hybrid TV, and mobile operators worldwide, today announced new impulsive recording capabilities for its cloud-PVR solution.
