FirstNews Briefs: T-Mobile, Rayovac, Accenture, Krispy Kreme

T-Mobile today announced that the greater Sacramento, CA area joins the other markets in California to get a Wideband LTE upgrade. In addition to the Sacramento area, T-Mobile LTE customers in Placer, Sacramento, Yolo, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus counties will also see increased LTE speeds. The new markets join the 25 markets in which T-Mobile has already launched its Wideband LTE offering.

Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. today announced the introduction of Rayovac’s rugged, all-weather chargers. Rayovac’s Adventurer houses a 10,400mAh lithium ion rechargeable battery that can hold a charge for up to six months. The Adventurer has an MSRP of $59.99 and will be available online and at stores beginning holiday 2014.

Accenture is collaborating with Wire and Wireless Co., Ltd. (Wi2) in the wireless service provider’s “Travel Japan Wi-Fi” initiative that will provide free Wi-Fi service to tourists in Japan and distribute travel and tourism-related information to them on their smartphones and tablets.

Krispy Kreme has introduced its new My Krispy Kreme Treats customer loyalty App with an initial launch in Richmond, Nashville and greater Detroit and Grand Rapids area locations. Residents in the initial launch area can now use their iOS and Android smartphones to earn reward points and redeem them for free products at Krispy Kreme retail shops in these test markets. Guests also have the option to use their credit card to store value on the App for purchases at Krispy Kreme locations.
