The SKY58085-11 RF front end from Skyworks adds a PA, RF switches, couplers, and filters to handsets, data cards, and M2M devices.
Handsets and other user devices need RF signal amplification to communicate with base stations. The SKY58085-11 from Skyworks front-end module contains separate power amplifier (PA) blocks for 3G, 4G, and 5G radios. It supports the 1, 2, 3, 7, 34, 39, 40 and 41 frequency bands, providing amplification for uplink transmitters. Antenna ports are match to 50 Ω.
Because it’s a front-end module the SKY58085-11 also provides RF band switches, MB and HB antenna switches, bi-directional couplers, and integrated filters for the supported frequencies. A MIPI RFFE 2.1 control interface lets the host device set its operating parameters. The device provides two antenna output ports.
The video below demonstrates the SKY58085-11 functions using a demo board.
