Sprint CEO Dan Hesse is starring in his second set of TV commercials, this time promoting the operator’s new Ready Now. Over the weekend, the commercial began airing telling customers about a new service that lets customers get a personalized setup and configuration of their new devices at Sprint retail stores.
Earlier this year shortly after taking over the reins of the company, Hesse took to the airwaves touting the company’s Simply Everything plan, the operator’s unlimited voice and data plan. The Sprint plan followed competitive $99.99 a month unlimited calling plans from Verizon and AT&T. Sprint’s plan included unlimited calling, text messages, e-mail, Internet access and other wireless service applications for the same price.
However, Hesse’s new commercial may have been upstaged by a minor snafu in an early press release. According to the Silicon Alley Insider, the release provided the wrong address for viewers to contact Hesse with their comments. The e-mail address was for a small tech support company in Phoenix, not Dan Hesse.
