In more Sprint news, CEO Dan Hesse is the star of the carrier’s new nationwide TV ads, talking up Sprint’s new unlimited voice and data plan, Simply Everything. Announced not too long after competitors announced $99.99 a month unlimited calling plans, Sprint released its Simply Everything plan, which includes unlimited calling, text messages, e-mail, Internet access and other wireless service applications for the same price.
The ad features Hesse walking down a city street; he asks the audience what they would do if they were running a wireless company. “Here’s our idea,” Hesse continues, “You get to use your phone for all the great things it can do without worrying about the meter running. How’s that for a revolution in wireless?”
The ads started running yesterday and feature Sprint’s new “Now Network” marketing strategy. The carrier said the new marketing initiatives will include print, broadcast, online, billboards and bus stop advertisements.
