Chinese consumers can now get their hands on Windows Phone devices. Microsoft today announced via its official Windows Phone Blog that HTC has begun selling the Windows Phone 7-based HTC Eternity in China.
The Eternity is the first Windows Phone smartphone to hit China.
The Eternity is an unlocked (aka “open market”) handset with a 4.7-inch screen, front- and rear-facing cameras, and comes stocked with a number of Chinese apps.
“It’s also the first of many great Windows Phone handsets headed for China from Nokia and other phone makers this year,” read the blog post.
Microsoft China held a press event in Beijing Wednesday to show off the Chinese-language interface. The software also supports traditional Chinese.
