According to a report on the UK’s Mobile Today Website, HTC signed an exclusive distribution deal with Brightpoint Great Britain for the U.K. and Ireland.

Earlier this week, Brightpoint announced that its subsidiary Brightpoint Great Britain acquired Hugh Symons Group for $586,000 and the value of inventory at date of closing.

Brightpoint is the largest international supplier of HTC’s handsets. HTC reportedly said it hopes to work closely with Brightpoint to grow its market share. A spokesperson from Brightpoint was not available for comment.
