Hulu Plus Goes iPhone, iPad

By Andrew Berg | June 30, 2010

Hulu is going mobile with the iPhone and iPad, as well as a host of other connected devices. Hulu CEO Jason Kilar announced a new service, Hulu Plus, yesterday via a blog on the company’s website.

Kilar said that Hulu Plus, which will cost users $9.99 a month to stream TV shows to their various devices, is not a replacement for the desktop version of the service but rather a complement.

Customers can sign up to receive an invitation for the service at the company’s website.

The Hulu Plus app for the iPhone and iPad will stream content over Wi-Fi or 3G. Kilar wrote that Hulu is also working on apps for Samsung Blue-Ray players and the Sony PS3.
