Nokia is making IBM Lotus Notes Traveler software available to the 80 million worldwide customers of its 44 models of S60 phones, the handset giant said today.
Traveler connects to IBM’s Lotus Domino Server and will be available from Nokia next month.
“This is another strong affirmation of our business mobility vision, which is to establish partnerships with the world’s leading enterprise vendors. This collaboration means nearly 90 percent of business email can be mobilized with Nokia devices, without needing to purchase additional servers, middleware or licenses,” said Nokia’s Soren Petersen, senior vice president, in a statement today.
Traveler is already available for Apple’s iPhone and Research In Motion’s BlackBerry devices. IBM also partners with AT&T and Sprint.
