Improved VNAs cover 5G FR1, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth bands

By Redding Traiger | April 16, 2025

Copper Mountain Technologies is announcing the release of the new Value Series Vector Network Analyzers. The V Series will include three 2-Port, 2-Path measurement models: V0402 4.5 GHz VNA, V0602 6.5 GHz VNA, and V0902 9 GHz VNA. All models have a starting frequency of 100 kHz. These VNAs deliver highly accurate measurements with the ideal feature set for many production and field service applications in a cost-effective package. The V Series is an upgraded replacement of the M Series VNAs.

Compared to their M Series predecessors, these V Series VNAs feature a higher maximum IF bandwidth at 300 kHz, higher dynamic range of 135 dB typical for V0402 and 130 dB for V0602 and V0902, almost 3X faster measurement speed of 25 µs per point, wider output power from -50 dBm to + 5 dBm (V0902 has -50dbm to +3dbm output power between 6.5 to 9 GHz), for the same price as the M Series models.

The V Series VNAs are an attractive solution for users who want affordable metrology-grade performance, without some of the advanced features like time domain and frequency offset, that are standard in other CMT VNAs.
